Productivity, or lack thereof

There are many things to write about…

I have written nothing about Hurricane Katrina, or
Auburn bouncing back from the season opening loss to Georgia Tech with a shutout of Mississippi State.
Nor have written about Auburn freshman defensive end Alonzo Horton who, after already losing his aunt to the floodwaters of New Orleans, thought he had lost his two little brothers as well only to find out this weekend that they were with his father in Houston.
What about Atlanta’s ugly win over the Philadelphia Eagles last night?  Comment: Imagine if the Falcons had some production from their wide receivers.

Instead of writing about those things, I choose to write about how much I suck.

About 70 minutes ago, I looked at the clock on my desktop and thought: “It’s 9:30 and I’ve got about 6 more hours until time to go home.  What can I get done in those 6 hours?”.  How much have I gotten done in the 70 minutes since having that thought?  You guessed it, nothing.  This is coming from someone who is borderline obsessed with productivity and beating procrastination.  There is nothing worse than being disgusted with yourself and that is exactly how I feel right now.

It’s 10:42 am and I’ve got about 5 more hours until time to go home.  What can I get done in those 5 hours?
